The Houldcrofts

Hello! We are the Houldcroft family. Gregory, Niki and baby John. Niki and I met approximately 6 years ago at a Tim Horton’s where she was working and I would take my youth Thursday night after youth group. I like to joke that you can get more than a coffee at Tim Horton’s! We’ve been married for 5 and a half years now and recently celebrated our dear son John’s second birthday. Being a parent is truly a joy. John is definitely giving us deeper insight into our relationship with our heavenly Father.

The journey began when I was on staff half time at Thousand Islands Baptist Church where I served as Youth Pastor, Worship director and Associate Pastor. I passionately felt God’s call to use me to be a local missionary to the youth and families in the community of Brockville.  I am presently serving in two high schools on a weekly basis, involved with citywide youth rallies, and organize youth based community outreach ministries. My hope is that I would be able to serve the youth full time and not have to rely on a secondary job.

The need is great. A generation of youth are coming through the secondary school system that are totally unaware of who Jesus Christ is and what it means to have a relationship with Him. God has given us an amazing window of opportunity in the high schools to be His hands and feet to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.  In response to this heart breaking need we were released and commissioned by Thousands Islands Baptist Church into the community.  We are looking to start a community ministry called “Cross Town Impact”. Our mission is to bring the Cross of Jesus Christ to the Town of Brockville’s youth to Impact their lives and to see them Impact their community. The purpose of this ministry is to be intentional by furthering the youth’s journey in their walk with Jesus Christ. This is done by planting, watering, harvesting and discipling.
